What’s this? An Award Winning Animation I went and done!

This is my award winning animation! The only one to date. It’s an animated machine encompassing all thing consumer. The film won the 2010 Apple Student award and was also screened at the Encounters Short Film Festival. In 2012 it was screened on The Great Wall of Oakland and more recently featured on the viral television show ‘Attack of the Show’. In 2012 Vimeo nominated it for it’s Staff Picks. The Frogs Bollocks a funny animation about some funny testicles.

I created this in 2012 with the excellent Josh Alport. The Frogs Bollocks was screen on Attack of the Show. The film also screened in various festivals and became a bit of a hit on the internet. Collecting around 80,000 views on Vimeo in the first week. Various websites including Gizmodo and the Cheeze Burger Network also featured the frog and his big old bollocks.

Lard Wants World Peace – Peace Tip Animation

I worked with Lard creating this animation for their World Peace Tips. I took the Lard illustrations and developed them into various characters to create this animation for day 339 of their peace tips. The animation was created using Flash and edited in After Effects. You can read all of the tips over on the Lard Wants World Peace Website. Enjoy and be sure to keep an eye out for more Animated peace tips that will be coming from Lard soon.

Share Museums East, a weird little animated guide.

I created this animated guide for Share Museums East to inform their museums of the need to rationalize their collections. The guide features a little museum curator who enjoys shooting plates. He also has a friendly little cat who roams around the stores with him causing trouble. The piece was animated under the direction of the very awesomeTop Box Media in July 2012.

Zoe B Organic, some cute cartoon animations

I created these cartoon animations for the US company Zoe B Organic. Zoe B found my work through Twitter and commissioned me to do some Snoopy esque style animations for their company. The company itself produces environmentally friendly beach toys which if left on the sand will degrade gradually instead of clogging up the beaches, genius!

Brilliant People, a typographic animation guide

I created this typographic animation guide for Brilliant People to launch their brand new recruitment service in 2012. The pieces were created over the course of a few days and were delivered on a reasonably tight timescale. Using the original voice recording I created a world of interesting typographic and vector animations to engage the viewer. Overall the animation proved a success, attracting creatives towards this unique recruitment site.
